MAW Support Services is a partnership business focused on working with people to live their best life.
- Home and Community Care Services
- Counselling
This business was originally inspired by a local Ballarat Man by the name of Wil Hobbs. He struggled daily for a service that could look after him and provide him with a professional level of care support that was also financially cost effective as his ISP (Individual support package) was not nearly enough to support his needs.
Our service worked with Wil to change his circumstances to give him a better quality of life with more freedom and independence. There was almost 2 years of debate with the government and the ‘powers that be’ to fight for Wil’s basic human right to have enough funding to stay living at home. We never gave up on Wil, together we created a wonderful care team of people who assisted him until the very end along with so many others that supported his fight along the way.
On the 17th of September 2015, Wil won that human right and was allocated the funding he so desperately needed to stay living independently at home, he found peace and comfort in that.
